I AM SIN

Open your heart let me in
You know my name - the name of sin
I will dare you - I will tempt you
Self loathe will be your drive through
A gentle persuasion - a tug of the heart
Pulling you in - tearing you apart
Let me guide you down the path of shame
A worthy opponent in lifes foolish game...

 

I have tricked so many to believe
I'm open to interpretation -

oh how I love to deceive
There you go - open that door
With false hope I will fuel you some more
Shout it - Scream it - use your voice
Allow carnality to be your choice
With a snarled smirk I giggle in glee
To the depths of hell you're coming with me...
You're doing wrong you've lost that spark
Ecstatic I am that you've missed the mark...

You think you've had enough - feeling a little spent
On bended knee you feel the need to repent
Ah! It is clear wisdom has become
your friend
On Jesus you have once again come to depend
Yet I will not be deterred I will not sway
The earth is my ground and I intend to play
So for a time I'll leave you be
