We have been appointed at the time of birth
To unite with our soul mates here on this earth
To live every waking hour with each other
knowing that we will always be together...
Then suddenly our loved one passes away
Leaving us completely clueless on any given day
We get told that time will heal the pain
Give it time - it get's said again and again...
But its time to pass - we have to wait for
There's no escaping that moment - no magical door
There's no place on this earth we can hide
Just the here and now - and the war raging on the inside...
This is it we feel - what was it all for
Do we have to go on - can we take anymore
So easy for everyone else to say
But it was our loved one that was taken away...
We know in our hearts there will never be regret
Cos the one we hold so dear - we will never forget
Although it feels the pain will never cease
It is only God that can give us - that inner peace...
