MEMORIES

Sitting on the beach looking
out to sea
The crashing waves a reminder
I do not belong to me
I'm merely created and in the
process of being refined
Persevering so Father can delight
in His designed
Blowing in the wind are the names of
long ago
A tear gently falls as I recall a
distant glow
Up in a darkened sky diamonds
sparkle bright
The faint sound of laughter echoes
in the night
A pleasant memory for a moment
seamed so real
Escaping in the vision I allow myself
to feel
Refreshing tears now openly flow
A longing a yearning for that
moment long ago
I blink the tears away and quickly
escape my reverie
For what is in the past should be
a forgotten memory
I look as the waves recede back
into the oceans depth
Hiccups of broken tears leaves
me gasping out for breath
As I sit on the beach looking out
to sea
I'm so thankful that I do not belong
to me
I'm merely the created in the process
of being refined
Persevering so Father can delight in
His designed....
