So many different denominations, so
many different religions
Each with their own DNA exerting
their own personal visions
The one desperately attempting to
convert the other
Self righteousness permitted
sovereigncy without a bother
Religious motives empowering
political rule
As each leader spits out slander
in some verbal dual
The people unsure of their future
allowing fear reign
Amid their own inner struggles and
personal pain
Reasoning and goals fall deeper into
a clouded mist
With broken boundaries they do not
live they merely exist
'For The People' our misguided
leaders shout out from atop
Yet they exude personal gain, when
then does it all stop!
When we die? when we choose a
different religion?
Or when we give our all and stop
fighting 'The Demon Within'
We are the prophets of our own
destiny
Only we can make the changes that
need be
Removing ourselves from emotional
bondage
Knowing the truth so there's not that
much to salvage
With renewed hunger we need to strive
with empowered energy
Empassioned in the freedom that Jesus
gave to you and me
Prayer is the answer its the only solution
The answer to impoverished confusion
Simply remember that for everything
there is a season
Only our true living God is empowered
to demolish The Demon Within...
